Know Your Rights

The City of Oakland’s Eviction Moratorium, which has protected tenants from eviction due to non-payment, ended July 15th, 2023. It is unlikely that all Oakland residents with unpaid rent will receive back rent support for arrears owed during the moratorium after March 2022. Please continue to pay your rent as you are able. Know your rights and seek legal help as needed. This site will be updated as information becomes available.*
